Subversive Eucharist Webinar
28th February 10 am to 11:30 am
Members: Free
Other: Donations requested after the event
We’ve had a fair bit of interest in holding a workshop on Radical understandings of the Eucharist. People who wanted to come on this event live all over the show and have their own challenges to face – one emailed to say she wanted to come but as a single mum living a long way from Sheffield would make it a challenge.
We want to build bridges not walls when it comes to theological training so we’re experimenting in online ‘webinar’ as a format. This is our first experiment!
Bishop Delroy Hall, a pastor at the Church of God of Prophecy with a PhD in Pastoral Theology who is also a trained and experienced counsellor will offer insights into the role of violence and oppression in shaping our Eucharistic practice.
We will open the conversation up to all delegates to share their own insights and practices so that we can be challenged to see what more we can do to draw out the subversive nature of the radical thanksgiving meal at the heart of worship for so many people.
