Called to be Managers in the Church of England

Ian Duffield, Director of Research at UTU has written to the Church Times this week to reflect on the possible change in emphasis in clergy vocations in the Church of England. Are we gaining Pries-managers at the expense of pastors and prophets?

Taking note of research by UTU members Professor Leslie Francis and Revd Dr Greg Smith he wonders if there is “less room, then, among future clergy for eccentrics, mavericks, entrepreneurs, searchers, pastors, and the independent-minded.”
