Luther King House, of which UTU is a partner, are looking for a new awarding body for our degrees. This is a great opportunity for us to re-think and renegotiate so please pray for staff and trustees as we take on this new and exciting challenge.
The University of Manchester decided not to renew its partnership with Luther King House, of which UTU is a constituent college, and as a result the validation of our degree programmes would cease in due course.
We have been assured that this decision is no reflection whatsoever on the standards and quality of teaching at LKH, and we continue to maintain strong and supportive relationships with those who teach religions and theology at the University.
This decision in no way effects existing students and LKH will continue to admit new students to the University of Manchester degrees for at least the next academic year, and all will be able to complete their studies.
UTU has successfully navigated and negotiated changes in awarding bodies before but this time we are part of a family of colleges – Luther King House – and have, in the University of Manchester a considerate awarding body who wants to work with us for a good transition to our next phase of life.
Please pray especially for the Board of Trustees at Luther King House as they listen, explore and discern a future partnership for our member colleges.
